Firefighter I
Foundational interior structural firefighting, hose operations, ventilation, search & rescue, and incident command basics.
Professional Firefighter
FF1 & FF2 qualified. HazMat Awareness & Operations. Emergency Vehicle Operator. Industrial fire safety experience across Qatar and Saudi Arabia’s Project NEOM.
I’m a professional firefighter with hands-on experience protecting some of the most demanding industrial environments on the planet — from Qatar’s oil & gas facilities to giga-project sites in Saudi Arabia.
My work blends NFPA-aligned firefighter training with HazMat operations and emergency vehicle skills. I’ve served on response crews at greenfield industrial sites, drilled to international standards (and stepped up to lead drills when called on), and contributed to fire safety operations on Project NEOM — one of the largest construction undertakings in the world.
Whether it’s a structural fire, a hazardous-materials release, or a high-stakes industrial incident, the priorities are the same: protect life, contain the threat, and bring everyone home.
Foundational interior structural firefighting, hose operations, ventilation, search & rescue, and incident command basics.
Advanced fireground operations, command-level coordination, technical rescue support, and incident size-up under pressure.
Recognition, identification, and initial isolation of hazardous-materials incidents in industrial and transport environments.
Defensive containment, decontamination corridors, PPE selection, and joint operations with industrial response teams.
Safe high-speed response, apparatus positioning, scene approach tactics, and emergency-vehicle handling under pressure.
Currently expanding into technical rescue, confined-space operations, and incident command at the strategic level.
Served on the fire response team at one of the world’s most ambitious construction projects. Maintained response readiness across active build zones, worked alongside multinational crews, and operated under incident command on a site at the frontier of scale and complexity. Stepped up to lead crew drills when called on.
Fire watch duty in Qatar’s oil & gas environment — standing by hot-work operations (welding, cutting, grinding), demolitions, and high-hazard process areas. Spotted incipient ignitions, executed initial suppression with portable equipment, and coordinated escalation to the site fire crew. Built deep familiarity with hydrocarbon hazards and a zero-tolerance safety culture.
Frontline firefighter with Kenya’s Thika Fire Department — putting FF1/FF2 training into daily practice across structural response, road incidents, and the routine call-outs that build operational fundamentals. The role that grounded my career before going international.
Earned FF1 and FF2 qualifications alongside HazMat Awareness, HazMat Operations, and Emergency Vehicle Operator credentials — the core toolkit that opened the door to international industrial work.
Interior attack, ventilation, search & rescue, and victim removal under FF1/FF2 protocols.
Process-area fires, foam application, and fuel-fed emergencies in oil & gas environments.
Awareness and Operations level — identification, isolation, defensive containment, decon.
Safe response driving, apparatus positioning, and emergency-vehicle handling under pressure.
Standing up response capability on greenfield industrial and giga-project sites.
Running drills, scenario-based training, and keeping teams sharp between incidents.
Side engagements I take on alongside frontline firefighting — drawing on FF1/FF2, HazMat Ops, and EVO experience. Scoped from quick training visits to standing up a full industrial fire response.
Scenario-based drills, fire safety briefings, HazMat awareness, EVO refreshers, and FF1/FF2 coaching — delivered on-site for offices, factories, schools, and small response crews. Quick to scope, fast to run, immediate impact on crew readiness.
Walk-through site audits, Pre-Incident Planning (PIP), fire safety compliance reviews, equipment placement, and gap analysis grounded in NFPA practice. Output is a clear, drillable plan tailored to the specific facility — not generic boilerplate.
Talks, panel appearances, podcast guesting, and short-form workshops drawing on frontline firefighting experience across Qatar oil & gas and Project NEOM. For industry conferences, HSE programmes, training institutes, and schools wanting real-world fire-safety perspective from someone who’s been on the line.
